Each mediation is different. The length of time mediation takes depends on many factors, such as:
- The types of issues to be mediated;
- The complexity of the issues to be mediated;
- The number of issues to be mediated;
- The nature and amount of conflict among the persons attending mediation;
- The willingness of the persons attending mediation to communicate and cooperate; and
- The availability of persons attending mediation.
